This Sunday will mark one year from my first post on my blog (which, back then, was in Blogger instead of WordPress). I originally started it to help me learn to write consistently after hearing Jaquelle Ferris’s (who was then Jaquelle Crowe) story of how starting a blog helped her. My first post was called “6 Ways Having Tons of Sibs is a Blessing.”
From there, I discovered a love for writing things that encourage others and point them to Jesus. This past year, I’ve grown more familiar with the Bible and with the art of the written (er, typed) word, and both of those partly from blogging. I can’t know for sure if my blog has taught anyone else anything, but it has sure taught me a lot.
Plus, I’ve learned some very practical skills, like working with SEO, WordPress, Mailchimp, and Canva.
So, to celebrate this one year of blogging as I look forward to, Lord-willing, many more to come, I’m going to reflect on old posts. This post will serve as a catalog of sorts, since my theme makes it a little difficult to find the older stuff. (Yeah, some of these posts are just a bit cringe-worthy, but it is still good to look back and see how I’ve grown. ;))
So here it is!
Family
One big theme in my writing has been family–especially siblings. Since I have experience being the big sister of ten, I might as well take advantage of my credibility to write about it, yeah?

What do you think?
Which posts were your favorites? What topics would you like me to address in the next coming year?
Congrats on your blog reaching one year old! Isn’t it great how discipline and persistence add up–that list of posts was longer than I expected. =) I’m sure your blog has blessed others besides you, because it has blessed me! I think the Bible, encouragement, and misc faith posts were my favorite, but that’s because I’m not growing up in a house full of siblings.
Keep up the great work! I’m excited to find out where God leads you.
Thank you!! ? I am very happy with how it has grown in the last year, and excited to see where it goes in the next year too. Aw, I’m glad it has blessed you. ?
Keep up the great work friend!!
Thanks! =D I will! 😉
Happy blogversary! Is that how you spell it? ? I love your Focus Word for the year. My word is trust too. ❤️
I think you’re just missing an “i.” XD
Thank you! I like yours too! 😉
